Looking back I was born to be a photographer. My Dad Pierre was a photojournalist since the late 50’s. My older brother Sal is a wedding photographer and has worked for some of the biggest studios in Melbourne. My second brother Dany is an audiovisual designer and works at the MCG managing all the major events. So I grew up with a love and appreciation for photography in all its many forms. I’m not sure if my 2yo son Ollie is going to carry on the tradition though, I have a feeling he is leaning towards becoming a celebrity chef.
So I’ve worked in the wedding photography industry for 19 years, 9 years as a cinematographer and editor and 10 years as a photographer, retoucher and an album designer. I would call myself a Tropical Island Destination wedding specialist, having spent 3 years living and working as a wedding photographer in the south pacific and shooting weddings across Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.
This was an extension of one of my other loves, travelling the world. Having travelled extensively, over 25 countries across 4 continents, I would say Paris is my favourite city. I just loved the atmosphere, the beautiful architecture and of course the coffee. Oh yeah I’m addicted to good coffee, cool shoes and Martin Scorsese Films.
My work would best be described as fun, happy, romantic, stylish & dramatic. I love to get into the intricate details of a wedding and capture everything as it happens. Probably comes from my years as a cinematographer.
