From a chance meeting at schoolies in Lorne to their first date where it just felt right, these two gorgeous souls were meant for each other. Paul was instantly attracted to Annelies infectious fun loving personality and his sense of humour kept her smiling and laughing all night. “We just compliment one another. We are best friends!”

The Proposal

Marrying his best friend was on his mind when Paul and Annelies travelled to the States. The plan was to propose in Central Park, but finding the perfect, private spot proved more difficult than he anticipated. Instead that night after a perfect dinner, they walked hand in hand over the Brooklyn Bridge, to see the New York skyline, and once there Paul dropped to one knee and popped the question. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that.

The Wedding Day

Coombe Estate in the Yarra Valley was the perfect venue for them to have their wedding. They fell in love with the stunning gardens and classic style of the venue. Annelies wanted a classic, romantic yet modern wedding with the boys in classic black suits, and the girls dressed in clean crisp white, the bride wearing a stunning Marianna Hardwick beaded dress completed the picture.

Guest enjoyed the stunning weather and garden ceremony where the lovely Shannon Jeans kept everyone entertained, marrying them in a beautiful personal ceremony. They went on to the reception where everyone danced the night away thanks to Lark Music. “The best part of the day for us was taking a moment to ourselves midway through the reception to take in everything that was happening and watching all of our guests have so much fun on the dancefloor.”
