We love a local wedding and for Genelle it doesn’t get much more local than D’Angelo’s Estate in Officer. From the moment Troy and Alex came into the studio to chat about their day we were on the same page. They basically said you do your thing, you know the area and we will be happy with whatever you do. It can’t get much better than that for us. Being married at the families church in Iona allowed us to find some beautiful rustic spots along the journey back to the reception, right through Genelle’s home town where her local knowledge found some truly amazing locations.
For Alex having two parts to the wedding was really important. It allowed them to incorporate family traditions with the ceremony, then the beautiful country feel they wanted for the shoot, then a huge awesome party with lots of food at D’Angelos Estate for the reception.
For Alex and Troy their wedding was all about having all of their amazing family and friends in the same place at the same time celebrating with them and dancing for the last couple of hours of the reception. Even when their musician Jack had to stop singing and playing music because of the time constraints at D’Angelos everyone remained on the dance floor for a while all singing and dancing without music. These moments with the people who matter the most to them has left them with amazing memories of their wedding day!
