Em and Rod’s stunning Las Vegas, Nevada wedding is the stuff of amazing love stories and we had the extreme honour of being invited along to be a part of it.
Escaping freezing temperatures in the middle of August in Melbourne we jetsetted over to Las Vegas to an amazing 42 degrees. From the minute we flew over Vegas I was so excited to get out into the desert and explore. When you get a couple, who fall in love with your work and trust you enough to make you a part of their elopement, you feel so honoured and privileged to be a photographer and to capture this for them. From the minute I met Em we were just on the same page. She trusted us implicitly.
We spent a few days location scouting and had spent many hours before flying in working out logistics and booking in locations, so we were totally prepared and ready to make the most of the time we had. Even the heat couldn’t deter us, rising to nearly 50 degrees in the Neon Museum then easing off to around 35 by the time we reached Red Rock. We chased some stunning light around the desert and managed to get the sun going down being Red Rock before heading back to the strip and the gorgeous Cosmopolitan Hotel for the ceremony. Em and Rod wanted a relaxed day just about them and their beautiful family’s so after the ceremony we headed out for a lovely dinner with everyone.
This was a truly amazing experience with a truly amazing couple.
