Perhaps it was fate. Perhaps it was pure luck. Or perhaps it was the fact that they were the only two people in the room covered in fake blood, revealing matching pearly white fangs every time they smiled at each other. Either way, at her cousin’s dress-up birthday party, the two vampires met and fell in love.
Anita and Michael were meant to have a lush summer wedding, but when the bride-to-be woke up one chilly morning in April thinking “what the hell are we waiting for?”, that was it. A few phone calls (and a few pregnancy denials) later, they shifted the date forward. It was all systems go to put their dream wedding together in record speed. Within less than eight weeks, the loving couple became husband and wife in St Mary’s Parish in St Kilda. It was half a year earlier than they had planned for, and yet not a second too soon.
