If you drive to the very end of the dirt road, you’ll see it. Miles and miles from the hastiness of the city, amongst open fields and the sound of utter silence, lays the Wallace Family Farm. It’s been passed down through generations; a modest countryside home, and 290 acres of heaven on Earth.
As a son of two farmers, Ash was taught to love the land. He grew up running through these fields and playing guitar by the bonfire. The family farm was where he, standing under a lonely tree in the middle of the paddock, nervously asked Taylah out on a first date. On a breezy summer’s night, it was also where he asked her to marry him. There was never a question; it had to be where they became husband and wife. And so they got hitched by the very same tree where their love story began. (The bride’s father jokingly threatened to burn that tree to the ground for stealing his little daughter away, but we’re pretty sure it’s still there!).
Under the gaze of a circling eagle, even the family’s cows came sauntering over to watch the lovebirds say their vows. With Ash’s connection to the land and the animals, it couldn’t feel any more appropriate.
Despite being surprised by a temperamental storm, Taylah and Ash got just the day they hoped for. We know we have an amazing bride when she actually gets excited over the wild weather that decided to crash her wedding party! Taylah was stoked. “It made for amazing photos, and it forced all our guests to gather under tents, which made for such an intimate and joyful night!”
